I can find it in the simple things.
In the laughs shared between friends.
When light peaks through the windows casting shadows around the room.
When the smell of coffee wakes me up.
As the sun paints a picture behind the mountains.
In the sound of children on the playground by the ice cream shop.
I see the love of our father.
It is in all things. In the little things.
I can see it as strangers become family in just a month and a half.
When strangers invite us to be part of their lives.
In the hugs of friends reuniting.
I see His love in the smiles of strangers.
When hands raise in worship and people let out shouts of joy.
I see the love of our father.
I can see it in this team.
In the way Piper encourages us in all things.
In the way Devin laughs with us and is quick to listen.
In the way Nathan takes time to share his thoughts with us.
In the way Sam extends grace as we learn and grow.
When we embrace the hard and love one another through it all.
The Lord has been showing me how to embrace His love and what it looks like to just abide in Him throughout my days. How sweet is that? Valentines day this year looked so very different than any other year. My team and I went to church and then the girls of our team took the girls that host us to brunch. We sat at the table with one another just laughing and sharing how sweet the Lord is. Then, the boys from overflow invited team refuge and team funderboltz over to our place for a valentines day party. It was full of dance parties, pizza, and rejoicing in how good it feels to be surrounded by the love of our father. Seeing the Lord and new pieces of who He is and what it means to be loved by Him through this squad of mine. It is just the sweetest thing to have constant community that loves you like Jesus does. A love that is patient, kind, encouraging, and always walks alongside you no matter what you may feel. THIS COMMUNITY IS SWEET! THE LORD’S LOVE IS GOOD!!
